Bioblend LT25B
biopolymer compound
injection molding
general description
Bioblend LT25B is enhanced with a blend of natural fillers and advanced minerals. Bioblend LT grades are easy to process and prepared for a fast and efficient post-processing crystallization/annealing process. The material can additionally be blended with bamboo, rice or coffee husk, wheat straw, wood powder or any suitable 2nd/3rd generation biomass (under Mottainai 5.0) to support a natural look.
Bioblend LT25B is certified compostable/controlled biodegradable (microbial and enzymatic degradation) in the targeted disposal environment; it is biodegradable in controlled (e.g., industrial compost facilities) conditions according to EN 13432 (Europe) and ASTM D6400 (U.S.).
Bioblend LT grades offer a significant reduction in carbon footprint compared to fossil-based plastics and constitute a more permanent CO2 storage.
The grades exhibit excellent strength and stiffness properties as well as a good flow combined with improved elongation values. An increased rate of crystallization allows an annealing to temperatures of 105 °C (HDT-B).
Part wall-thickness shall be greater than 1.25 mm.
